How to Boil Chickpeas

  1. Wash the chickpeas well in the evening and put them in a large bowl. Pour plenty of warm water over the chickpeas (since the chickpeas will absorb water and swell, it should be at least 6-7 fingers above the chickpeas). The next day the chickpeas will soften and swell slightly.

  2. After washing and changing the water a few times, put it in the pot and cook until the chickpeas are soft. The cooking time will vary depending on the type of chickpeas and the waiting time in the water, but you can take one out of the pot and test whether it is cooked.

  3. After removing the chickpeas from the stove, let them drain the water and wait until they cool down.

  4. After it cools down, we can bag it for single use and put it in the freezer.

  5. You can use the boiled chickpeas in soups, meals and pilafs in a practical way.

If you are using a pressure cooker, it will be enough to boil for 20 minutes.
